Speaker 1:

Hi, I'm Alessandra Tolome Hard, aka Mrs Hard, and this is Hard Times no More, a podcast for people who are tired of struggling with boundaries, people-pleasing and relationship problems. I have overcome some hard times. Within three years, I stopped drinking, my mom died of cancer and my house burnt down in a California wildfire, and those are just the highlights. I have a lot of reasons to be miserable, but I'm not. The truth is, life was more challenging before these events happened. If you are tired of waiting for your circumstances to change to find happiness and peace of mind, you are in the right place. Join me as I share the tools I use in love to transform challenges into assets and interview others about their relationship journeys. Together, let's learn how to have a happy life full of healthy, meaningful relationships and say goodbye to hard times for good. Hey there, welcome to the Hard Times no More Relationship Podcast. I'm Alessandra Tolomey Hard, aka Mrs Hard, your host.

Speaker 1:

This week I'm replaying one of my all-time favorite episodes and it's one of the most popular, most downloaded episodes I have as well. In this episode, I'm joined by my dear friend, healer and chiropractor, dr Debbie Victoria-Seale. Dr Debbie is a holistic chiropractor and intuitive healer, also known as a clairvoyant. If you're not familiar with what a clairvoyant is, it's a gift that allows her to see energy from your past and present lives, helping you remove blocks that manifest as relationship issues, stress or anxiety, and guide you towards healing and clarity so that you can discover your truth, what is true for you. During our conversation, dr Debbie will gift you with a transmedium healing this is towards the end of the episode and I'll guide you through a gentle meditation to cultivate self-love and security. I'm bringing back this powerful episode because Dr Debbie and I have something super special coming up just for you.

I'm going to put a link for this in the show notes and you can find the link on my Instagram as well. Now let's dive right into the powerful healing conversation I had with Dr Debbie from episode 19, clairvoyant Guidance for Anxiety Relief. Let's talk about how chaos can be a time of awakening which can feel confusing for people because it can feel like everything's falling apart, but it's really falling into place. What do you think about that?

Speaker 2:

So what happens with that is, I feel we look outside of ourselves and think that it's our job to fix all of that, because we feel uncomfortable when we see the world falling apart. We see all this trauma happening for other people and other places. And yes, I'm not saying that it's not, it doesn't affect us, it's not something that's not important. It is important we're part of this humanity, we're not disconnected. But how can we control that? We can't. So you have to look inside of yourself and say what can I do? And when you're feeling that trauma and that overwhelm, you can't fix that, but you can care for yourself and help yourself so that you can feel stronger to do the things you can do to make a change in the world, because whatever we do for ourselves does resonate outward. We're all connected. We're all from the same source.

Speaker 2:

We are experiencing, through this trauma, different parts of ourselves that are getting overwhelmed, that are getting beaten down, that are getting traumatized, and we feel all the anxiety because we feel hopeless. We feel that we have to just lay down and take it, or we get really angry and we feel like we need okay, I need to get out there and make a change really fast. I need to do something to fix this. But that's not where our answer lies. Our answer, when we first experience that trauma, is to go inside of ourselves and find that place that's wounded, find the place that needs healing, that needs attention, that needs nurturing, and heal that, become whole and grounded within yourself, within your life, within your body, so that you can be strong enough to be present to honestly see what is the thing that I can do to help this situation, this situation. So sometimes it just gets to be so overwhelming. You know, we all go through that with loss and that's a tough thing, a really tough thing, especially when you don't have the support of a strong spiritual practice.

Speaker 1:

I feel when you're relying on people, places and things to make you feel whole or to make you feel stable. Right.

Speaker 2:

It feels like you just got the rug pulled under you and the wind knocked out of you and you have no idea where to go from there. I mean losing my mother felt like that to me, Like, wait, a minute, she's my grounding post. I still think of her. You know that she's still here. I can call wait, I'm going to call mom. Oh, she's not in her body anymore. She's not here on this earth, but she does exist within me. And that's the thing is, you can find that connection. What is my connection to this trauma? What is my healing through this and with that? When you heal yourself, that resonates to the next person and the next person and even goes outward yeah, to the next person and the next person and even goes outward.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

Because if each of us took that healing for ourselves, then we'd be stronger in presenting ourselves to the world and how we interacted with the world and realize that it's okay to just take care of yourself first, put your mask on first. How many times do we hear that? Right, you put your oxygen mask on first in the airplane, when the oxygen doesn't exist, so you can help the person next to you that needs help. And that's what we have to do is find that place where we, wounded within ourselves, where we traumatized within ourselves, heal ourselves, become whole and start to ground in your body, in your life, so you can be present and stronger for what the next step is you need to do out there.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, and I love how you've talked about this with me before and you've talked about it in general how, like, when things come up for us, they're reflections, and so when we're feeling really upset by the outside world, like conflict or people judging others or doing things wrong that lights up like fairness within us and it's like for us to heal that picture, as you refer it to, that is coming up and so, even though we think it has to do with the outside world, it's really within us that we're doing the healing. Does that make sense? I don't know if.

Speaker 2:

I said it correctly? Absolutely, you did say it right. So this is what I believe and what I've learned through my experience in healing myself and helping others heal themselves is that we are all connected here. This is an earth school. This is where we draw those experiences and those people to us so that we can heal ourselves. And when we do, not only do we heal ourselves, but the other person also receives a healing. Do we heal ourselves, but the other person also receives a healing.

Speaker 2:

I remember when you came to me with a trouble that you were going through and saying I feel attacked because my loved ones are being attacked and this person that I love is attacking them, and how do I deal with this? I said where is it in you where you can heal yourself? Where you were attacked? And we found out by doing a healing on you that you were attacked in a past life in the same situation, and we were able to heal that and bring that energy from the past into the present. So you could be stronger in yourself in this relationship and be more neutral and loving to yourself and this other person, so that you could be stronger in seeing how you need to interact with them not from a place of woundedness, but from a place of strength and wholeness.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, and I remember what advice you gave me or what you saw was that the other person was feeling exactly the same way. I was Like I was feeling like put in a corner about what this person was saying honestly on social media and I felt like it was attacking, like you said, people I love and you said that when you read this other person's energy, that they were feeling that same attacked feeling, and that really helped me to change my perspective and to be like, oh my, my gosh, like I wouldn't want that person to feel the way I do, and it helped me cultivate compassion for them and empathy for like, oh, they're feeling the same way. I am just like flipped. And it really helped to move through that process and, like you said, get to that neutral space, right?

Speaker 2:

Yeah, right, yeah. So often we will victimize ourselves because we get what we call in psychic speak. We get lit up, these pictures of this energy gets lit up within us so that we can heal it, and we feel these emotions and feel like this is wrong. I need to. That person is horrible and I'm never going to speak to them again, but you love them and that's what you said. This is somebody that I really care about. So let's be compassionate and step back, rather than pointing the finger and say how can? What is it in me that needs to heal in this relationship? What is it in me that is being stimulated? And when you do, then you can see the other person in that neutral space, in that place of compassion, and allow them to have their own healing, not that you have to fix it for them, but that you can see. Oh, they are wounded too in a way, and they're lashing out in a way. And they're lashing out Because, from the energy that we were talking about in this situation, we were talking about the third chakra.

Speaker 2:

The third chakra is about our will and how we control things in our bodies, in our lives, and there are two reactions to that, and this has been a common theme in my life. It's either you're a victim or you're angry. So those are two reactions. And I come across a lot of people who are very angry at me and I usually victimize myself and say why are they so? They're horrible, that person is horrible. How could they even say that to me? I, you know what did I do wrong and you know I'll victimize myself and see this person as very angry. So I'll tell you a funny story that demonstrates this.

Speaker 2:

When I was in my practice in another space, I had this landlord that was a bulldog. Basically, I had this landlord that was a bulldog. Basically, this person was always very angry, always very loud, always controlling things in your face, and I said you know, what I'm going to do is I'm going to turn around and give this person what they need. They need compassion, they need to be seen, they need to be loved. And I would just, every time I saw this person, I would say what a great job you're doing on this space here. I'm so happy that you're my landlord because you're taking care of things and I love how you want it to always be a beautiful space and I see how you're upgrading things and from then on she and I were best friends.

Speaker 2:

Wow, because she was thinking I have to control this because it's my job, and if I don't control it, then you know, and I remember she would chase people off the property if they were doing something that she didn't like because it was her property. And you know, and I just tried to be compassionate and understand, she's controlling it because she feels like she. You know, she doesn't have control, so that's why she has to push outwardly. And if not, if you, if you go against her, she's angry. And so, rather than being victimized by it, I decided, okay, I'm going to try and see it from her side. Try to see.

Speaker 2:

And I was watching something on social media and this person who was a US spy I guess a former US spy came out and said it's all about either perspective or perception. So our perception is only within us. We have control of that, but nobody else has that same perception. So why not take a look at perspective and look at the other person's perspective, see how they're seeing the world? When you do that, it's almost like you have a superpower, you have a psychological step up because you're understanding and seeing how the other person is operating, so that's a dramatic way of looking at the same thing.

Speaker 1:

And I love how you're also not taking it personally, like you're bringing in your wisdom to be like oh, this has nothing to do with me. And that is like the first step of creating awareness around most of the people who are angry in this world it has nothing to do with you. And then moving into that perspective shift is like the second step, because that's where you can cultivate the compassion. But you have to know that it has nothing to do with you, right?

Speaker 2:

right and in arguments. I would say that would be one of the first things you do is you give yourself time to have those emotions step away, have those emotions calm down and try to look at that perspective, their perspective, and seeing it rather than, oh, that person, I feel like a victim. Why are they doing this to me? And realize they're in their own loop too. They're in that place where they feel out of control. So that's why they're lashing out. And when you see it from their perspective, then you start to understand oh, we're both, you know, we're both working the same thing, but on different sides of the coin. And all of us humans, we're all healing. Every single one of us, even though you don't think you are, we are. Everything that happens, every experience that you have, is a healing for you to take, for you to take a step up or not?

Speaker 1:

Yeah, it's like an opportunity for healing.

Speaker 2:

It's not a guarantee. Right, right. That's why we're here and we have the same pictures coming up over and over again. You know, you think you fixed something? Oh okay, wait till it comes back in a different way. Yeah, and that's okay.

Speaker 1:

you know, laughing about it sometimes is a good thing, yeah I love how in one of edgar toley's talks he talked about if you think you're really spiritually evolved, go spend a week with your parents oh, that's a good one, now that we're coming up to the holidays. Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 2:

Because our parents, we love them so much, but they trigger our, like, deepest wounds, sometimes Absolutely Our lifelong journeys.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, that's what family is. Yeah, and I love the perspective, how you talked about life as a school and my spiritual perspective, and you may share the same one that, like, I chose all of these events in my life and these struggles to happen before I came down here, and I'll never forget this woman. She was a spiritual counselor of mine and I met her when I was 17. And I was really depressed when I was 17 years old because my mom wasn't around very much because she was having to work so much and my dad was sick and I really took on a lot of his illness and so, like, I carried his weight of health on my shoulders and I didn't really know how to cope or what to do with it, because I was young, I didn't have a lot of tools and she framed my life as, like, honey, you chose this before you came down here and what it did is it shifted this like victimhood of like why is this always happening to me?

Speaker 1:

To an empowerment of like oh my gosh, look at all the lessons my father has taught me. Or, like, look at the gifts that have come from this and like, what are the gifts that are coming from, the challenges I'm experiencing in this life? Because I set them up before I came down here as a soul, to level up as a soul, and so like, how can I move through them and get the lesson from them? So, also, I don't have to experience them again and again and again, right, exactly?

Speaker 2:

And that's where these tools, that that you and I are teaching, come in. You know we have opportunities to heal these situations or not. We can just go around and around and going how come this is happening again in a different way with a different person? It's kind of in that relationship, you know. You see in movies, right, this relationship thing where the person gets so angry at the person that they're with so they just get up and move to another town. New people, new situations, right?

Speaker 1:

Different partner, same stuff again, yeah, and I personally experienced that over and over again.

Speaker 2:

I think we all have to some extent and um, and it's all good. That's why we're here, I believe. I believe we're all here to have those opportunities to take a step up, you know, and and I also want to to validate each of you for how far you've come. You know, look at yourself 10 years back, 20 years back, and and say, wow, I am not the same person. I've learned so much. Wow, I am not the same person. I've learned so much, I've grown so much. We all have these opportunities in our lives, but oftentimes we don't acknowledge I've done pretty good. I mean, look at where you are in your relationship with yourself, in your relationship with your family, in your relationship with your partner. Where are you? Validate those wins as well. I love that.

Speaker 1:

I love that with your partner. Where are you? You know, validate those wins as well. I love that. Yeah, I love that. Would you?

Speaker 2:

want to do a reading for the people who are listening today? Sure, so we're going to work on being anxious and overwhelmed. Let's take a look. So I am going to start with a prayer and you can just sit back and relax, maybe, with the blessings of the Supreme being, that she shine her countenance upon us and bring us peace and body, mind and spirit. Amen, as peace in body, mind and spirit, amen.

Speaker 2:

So we're all releasing an unconscious energy above our seventh chakra. This is our communication with the Supreme being and where we feel alone and separate from everything and everyone. This communication is always here for us. It's a deep and intimate listening. It's a grace that we can bring into our lives. It's a peace, if you like, and coming in as we start to heal this unconscious energy. We're releasing the anger, the separateness, the victimization, and bringing in this beauty, this grace, this connection with our higher selves, with each other. And that color is a beautiful, sparkly pink, with gold. In our fifth chakras there is this anger that we spew out that's coming from this place where we're not heard, where we're not seen, where no one listens or hears us. That's a deep, red, dark energy that mucks up this communication space. It affects the way we're heard. It affects the way we're not heard, the way we can't hear ourselves sometimes, because that's where our answers lie truly is within us. We're releasing that red energy and bringing in this deep green. This deep green is knowing and understanding ourselves and hearing our own truths each day, each moment, in each lesson that we bring forth for ourselves. That deep green is tinged with gold as well.

Speaker 2:

The next thing I see is in our fourth chakras. This is our self-affinity, where we love and give to ourselves. It's this place where we're too busy, we're too overwhelmed, we're tied up with the emotions, we're tied up in trying to fix things. We're separate from the world. We're in up with the emotions. We're tied up in trying to fix things. We're separate from the world. We're in this alone and we're releasing that energy that is a brown. It sits in that fourth chakra, around us and in our relationship with ourselves and others. As we release that, we're bringing in this beautiful light, blue, where there's compassion and understanding for ourselves.

Speaker 2:

We're also releasing some energy from our second chakra in our relationship space and in our intimate relationships with ourselves and others, with our main partner and how we and how we hold on to anger, hold on and sit in the muck of these pictures, so to speak. This experience that we have, thinking that it's just what's in front of us, that there's nothing more, and we're releasing that energy that's a deep purple. As we start to release that, we're bringing in that beautiful, sparkly blue and some pink, clearing out what I call the UPS of our second chakra is where we hold on to all of these trauma, all this trauma, all these projects that other people give us, releasing all that energy so we can create for ourselves, create those miracles in our lives. Have these beautiful experiences to find that place of neutrality and giving to ourselves, releasing some red energy out of the first chakra. And this is that place where we feel separate. We're using some brown and red energies there. There we go and then running that beautiful blue, sparkly blue, through our whole space and realizing that we are not disconnected, we belong, we belong to the whole, we belong to each other, we're connected, we're inseparable.

Speaker 2:

My experience is your experience. We can experience that joy together. As we heal ourselves, we heal each other. It's beautiful. Take a breath, feel that space, how clear it is. I'm going to bring some gold suns in for you that space, how clear it is. I'm going to bring some gold suns in for you. This is replenishing your energy with your pure energy, yours and yours alone. Just notice how your body feels. Notice that quiet, that beauty, that grace. Be with the blessings of the Supreme being. This reading and healing is complete. Amen. Thank you, you're welcome. You asked me for a reading, but I'm a healer so I always go into healing, so there's a freebie for you.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, and it's amazing. I always love your meditations and your healings.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, wonderful, that was really sweet. Yeah, everybody did night, did really well.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I love how you talked about us not being alone and not being separate, because I feel like that's the lie that our ego tells us, and when we believe that we're the only one experiencing whatever we're going through and that it's not for a greater purpose, that's when everything feels so heavy and I loved how you really touched on that and touched on the connectedness and that I hope that people, when they listen to this healing, when they're listening on the podcast, they know that many, many people will listen to the same healing and feel that connectedness and it's like, even if we're not listening at the same time, it's like a crazy dimensional thing that brings us back to that moment.

Speaker 2:

Absolutely. So you can listen to this healing on this podcast and you can do it over and over again and share it. Share it with your family, share it with your friends, so that your community can start to have this healing as well, and it's even more powerful for you as you do this. So this is an unselfish way that you can help heal your tribe, heal your family, heal your relationships, heal the world, and this is something that will reach everyone.

Speaker 1:

And I love how it's so simple. You don't have to do anything Right, you can just receive it Right, and that's where the power is, isn't that powerful?

Speaker 2:

Yeah, it's so powerful. It is powerful. So that thought of connectedness, it reminds me of BJ Palmer, who's the developer of chiropractic. He said something like you never know how far reaching something you do today will affect the lives of millions tomorrow. So we can have that community, we can have that healing, and the way you do that is by healing yourself I love that so amazing it sounds so simple, but it is quite the journey it is, but we can always come back to it.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, we always have that, that power to do that yeah it is a superpower. Yeah, we always have that with us.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, so every time you heal yourself, you are healing the planet and I love how that brings the focus back into like a manageable space. Yes, because it's so overwhelming when we think about everything going on and how we have no control over it it just riddles us with anxiety. But when you bring it back to just your space and your immediate environment and how powerful and impactful that can be, it becomes so much more manageable.

Speaker 2:

Right, right. Also, maybe we can share a few practical things. Yeah, that we can do.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, practical things that we can do, yeah, one that came to mind during your healing was for people to take some time every day, just a couple minutes, to either write or imagine what they want in life, and not only what they want externally, but how they want to feel in life and connect with that feeling. Maybe it's to feel more secure or to have more peace of mind, or to let things go a little bit more and to find their security within themselves or connecting to whatever they believe in, whether it's a higher power or a religious body or entity. To make time to create a vision for what you love in your life and then also what you want to create in your life, because that, I think, shifts our thoughts from, once again, the chaos and the external things that are going so wrong to our immediate environment and ourselves, and the positivity instead of the negative.

Speaker 2:

Absolutely. That's very powerful to have that basically vision statement for your life.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

And you know it can be upgraded whenever you feel the need. And I think you know that goes back to what I do on a regular basis and what I found to be a very helpful practice is gratitude and meditation, and that's how I start my day and that's how I end my day, being grateful for, first of all, I open my eyes and I say thank you for this beautiful life, thank you for this day, because we're not guaranteed. You know we don't think about that often and I'm not trying to be dark here, but I want to say that we are given this gift and life is a gift and to embrace that and radiate in that living is a very powerful thing. And by meditating, what you're doing is you're connecting to your source, you're connecting to who you are. It's not a woo-woo thing. It really is a tool for everyday living and it does change your physiology.

Speaker 2:

We can say, you know, oh, I'm not into that spiritual stuff. But it's not just about being spiritual. It really is about how your brain works and how your body works. You're coming out of fight or flight that we can tend to do that we close our eyes, turning our phones off or leaving them on all night, um, and we, um, we go into. Oh, I'm gonna, you know, jump out of bed and go grab my coffee, but start your day with a little bit of meditation, just some quiet space, even just connecting to yourself, to your higher self, self even to yourself, even just to your body.

Speaker 1:

If you don't know how to connect to your higher self yet, yeah, lately I've been practicing this new meditation because I always like to kind of have a practice or a theme when I'm meditating instead of just sitting in silence. Sometimes I do that, but I like to have a focus, and so recently I've been tuning into my heart space and imagining myself feeling safe in my heart space and what that feels like. And so I'm cultivating this practice so that when things in life make me anxious or challenges arise, I can go to that space and I know that space and that it feels familiar to me and that I've made those neural connections in my brain to that sense of security and safety within me, and so that I can, when in a challenging situation, find a safe space within me without having to do anything.

Speaker 2:

Oh, can we do that right?

Speaker 1:

now.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I want to. Yeah, I want to do that with you, yeah. So what I would say is let's put our hands over our hearts, crush one hand over the other and, alessandra, go ahead and lead us through this.

Speaker 1:

Okay, so take a couple of deep breaths into your chest, feel your ribs expand and contract, and then imagine yourself in a comfortable position, whether it's seated or laying down in your heart space. Look around you and imagine what you see. Maybe you're in your room at home your bedroom. Maybe you're at your parents' house. Maybe you're in your room at home your bedroom. Maybe you're at your parents' house. Maybe you're in the forest. Maybe you're at the beach.

Speaker 1:

Choose a place that feels safe to you and notice if you're alone, or is your significant other with you, or maybe your best friend, or maybe your dog, and feel grounded in this space. Feel that you're safe and protected in this space. Nothing can harm you in this space, and this space is full of love. Take a deep breath into that feeling of security and love and know that this space is for you whenever you need it. You can come back here and feel recharged, and make sure to visit this space often, so that it's so familiar and easy to access, no matter what is going on in your external life. All right.

Speaker 2:

Oh, it was beautiful, it's great.

Speaker 1:

Sometimes I imagine my husband, like holding my hand in that space because he makes me feel really safe and I know we don't always want to bring people into our space, or energies into our space, but when it's someone really close to us or I imagine we don't have a dog, someday we'll have a dog but that connection you have with your animal could give you that same sense of security. Right, and I just love playing with that. That's fun, yeah.

Speaker 1:

I love it. That's beautiful, all right, I hope you enjoyed that episode. I love sharing Dr Debbie's gifts with you because she has made such a huge impact in my life in my healing journey. She really works to empower others to find their truth and heal themselves and, as she said, when you heal yourself, you are also healing your relationships. You are also healing the planet. Healing yourself is a very unselfish act and it allows you to show up as your full, best, brightest self in your life.

So don't forget to put on your oxygen mask first before helping others, and the best way to do that is to sign up for the Awaken Retreat, june 2nd 2024, from 1pm to 5 pm. Like I said, this will be a deeply recharging, restorative and healing event. Get ready to ignite your spiritual fire with us through ancient healing modalities, including aura healing, hands-on healing, transmedium healing, guided meditation and so much more. This is going to be an incredible experience and, if you are listening close to when this podcast airs, like I said, early bird pricing is available now, and this is available for a super limited time. We are also keeping the number of people who are going to be able to sign up for this retreat super limited, because this kind of work is best done in small groups, and so don't delay, sign up today so that you can save your seat.
